Hi BiB friends 🙂 I'm the co-founder and CEO of Ataraxis AI. We are an AI precision medicine company, developing AI-native tools to help doctors select personalized treatment for their patients. We've already developed and validated our first product for breast cancer on data from over 8,000 patients. We raised a $20m Series A (AIX Ventures, Peter Thiel) a couple of weeks ago and are expanding our team.
We have several openings you can read about here, but I wanted to ask if anyone here might be interested in joining us as a Product Engineer/Full-stack Software Engineer. This role will be responsible for building our physician-facing application 0-1. This application will be the primary way doctors interact with our AI models. I'm looking for someone with solid engineering skills, but most importantly someone who loves iterating and shipping quickly and thinks from the user perspective. Please see the JD HERE or email me directly (details)

Hi all - Cellular Vehicles is looking for a part-time Robotics Engineer in the SF Bay Area - main responsibilities would be:

Let us know if you know of anyone!
Hi, all! @Grace Tiao and I are hiring our founding technical team to join us on a mission to organize the world's biological information and make the complex, enormous world of biological data feel small and accessible. We're not building data infrastructure or workflow orchestrators, we're building a search engine for all biology.
We're looking for:
- a founding software engineer, a product-minded generalist with experience working across the stack who thrives building technology that surfaces new scientific insights.
- a founding data engineer, who lives in the middle of data science, software engineering, and ML engineering, and is excited to build and use new technologies (including LLMs) to accelerate biological data curation by two orders of magnitude.
At the Broad, we built compilers, query optimizers, and new distributed algorithms to make petabyte-scale population genomics possible, and gnomAD, the largest public database of human genetic variation, which has contributed to over 6 million rare disease diagnoses. We've seen firsthand how the ability to explore biological data in real time doesn't just let scientists answer the same questions faster, but rather leads to fundamentally different questions and a new level of understanding. We also know from experience that the tools from the tech industry often don't translate well to biology, and that we need to be fearless in adapting or rebuilding whatever is necessary to get the job done.
We're backed by an incredible set of investors and angels -- including Jeff Dean, who's long been a personal hero of mine in the systems engineering space -- and couldn't be more excited for the journey ahead.
We're based in Cambridge, MA and work in the office together 2 days per week; these are hybrid on-site roles.

TL;DR: looking for mission-aligned people to join my research lab.
I am starting a research group in Toronto, focused on applications of machine learning to longevity research. The main goal of the group is development of ML-based pipelines utilizing generative models and active learning for efficient exploration of chemical space, and applications to the discovery of anti-aging interventions. To begin with, we will be focusing on cellular senescence and discovery of novel cryoprotectants.
I have a machine learning background myself, but the lab will have strong interdisciplinary focus, and will be a joint appointment between The Hospital for Sick Children (biggest research hospital in Canada), CS Department of University of Toronto, and Vector Institute (leading AI institute). We have very strong collaborators with expertise in cellular senescence and chemistry at SickKids and UofT, as well as ML, in particular at Mila (where I just finished my postdoc supervised by Yoshua Bengio). We also have strong industrial ties (ongoing collaboration with Genentech, exploring the possibility of spinning off one of our current projects).
I am currently looking for 1-2 ML postdocs and molecular biology lab technician (links below). In addition, we are looking for a chemistry postdoc (mostly focused on synthesis of our molecule candidates, and work on parallel synthesis and self-driving labs; will be set up in my collaborator’s lab - reach out for details if interested). Finally, I will be looking for students at UofT with enrolment in January.
Please forward to anyone that might be interested, and in case of any questions either reach out here or email me (details).

We’re hiring! Cephla is looking for its first full-time software engineer as a founding team member. Full-time interns will also be considered.
As a seed-stage startup and a recent spinout from Stanford, Cephla build open, versatile and scalable automated microscopes at a fraction of the cost of alternatives to help accelerate discoveries and solutions. We already have 30+ customers from top research institutes, leading biotech/pharma (like Genentech and Novo Nordisk) as well as emerging startups, and the number is quickly growing. We also have a program on global health (automated microscopes + AI) that’s getting a lot of traction.
This software engineer role is primarily about designing, building, testing, and shipping production-ready open-source software (starting with adding features to and improving our current PyQt-based software that users are already using + designing and implementing user experiences for new applications), and will involve working closely with our internal team + our collaborators as well as our users. Ideal candidate is someone who has solid software development experience, is great at problem solving, gets excited by new tools/technology and cutting edge research, derives joy from empowering scientists/researchers, and cares about impact.
The founding team member position is on-site only at our Mountain View office (N Shoreline Blvd); for full time intern, depending on the scope of work being remote may be acceptable.
Circle Labs is a synthetic biology start-up aimed at powering the biotechnology landscape. We’re looking for software folks who have meaningful experience shipping fullstack experiences in high throughput and highly reliable systems. Prior experience in biotech is nice to have but not required–if you’ve wanted to learn by doing in biotech, we can teach you! Spikes in data engineering and building seamless solutions across multiple systems are a plus.
Pheiron an AI x Bio startup focused on deep phenotyping is hiring a senior ML engineer as their first employee (job posting). More on Pheiron:
“We use AI and clinical outcomes to connect biomedical data with disease – we are witnessing a Cambrian explosion of biomedical data, but this data is not linked to clinical outcomes, blocking the understanding of disease. We are deeply rooted in science, epidemiology, and medicine and are building a computational platform connecting deep information on disease pathology with real-world clinical outcomes at a population scale to guide drug development with actionable human-centered insights. Join us on our path into unchartered territory, building ML models that matter; you would be the first addition to the team, so lots of room to build cool things together and scale!”
Founders are in Berlin / EU, but very open to remote/hybrid for the right person. Pre-seed raise was led by Compound and Hummingbird VC with participation from a few angel investors like me. The founders Thore and Jakob are very commercial & GTM savvy and have scientific credibility with several papers published on the topic of deep phenotyping and personalized medicine in Nature Medicine / Lancet / et al, and already have some paid contracts. Feel free to DM me or email join@pheiron.com directly if you think you’d be a good fit and are interested.
