Hey crew! At Fifty Years, we back founders solving challenges in climate 🌱 and health 🩺 We’re looking for a full-stack engineer to help build out products for our founders. It’s a pretty awesome opportunity to see the inside of VC and build tools that can benefit billions of people by helping founders solve big problems in the world. 🌎
Anyone come to mind?
Biographica are hiring for three technical roles: ML engineer (NLP), ML engineer (proteins & knowledge graphs), and Database engineer. We’re building the first ML-driven target discovery platform for the plant sciences. Our vision is to accelerate productive and sustainable agriculture by being the centralised provider of novel high quality target genes to the seed industry. To do this we’re taking inspiration from the wealth of recent ML innovations from the drug discovery space and reapplying them in the agriculture space! Specifically, we’re aiming to build a rapid-iteration lab-in-the-loop validation platform backed by cutting edge ML and perturbative genomics datasets. We have just closed our pre-seed financing and have set ourselves the ambitious goal of developing and licensing our first fully-AI-designed gene-edit by 2025. Over the next 18 months we intend to build an unparalleled ML-driven target prediction platform incorporating cutting edge graph-ML, NLP and bayesian optimisation. Let me know of any good candidates in your guys networks!
We have some openings in the research arm of Pathos. We are looking for folks in the NYC area that want to contribute to a new oncology therapeutics company. A couple of sentences about us: By leveraging a proprietary source of multi-omic data in cancer that is 10 to 100 times larger than any other such resource worldwide, we focus on building predictive models of cancer and identify biomarkers that can stratify patient populations into disease subtypes and further identify therapeutics or combinations of therapies that are ideally suited to treat each subtype. With this information, we seek opportunities to license or co-develop therapeutics using precision oncology approaches. It’s a great time to join and be a part of the early team (we have < 20 employees) and help shape the company culture. If you want to learn more, please do message me here. In particular, I have a couple of computational biology openings that are hands-on research roles that provide the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, work with a great computational team, and have an impact on our success.
We have some fantastic opportunities to get involved at the earliest stages of a synthetic biology company and guide the development of genetically modified plants to address important industrial and humanitarian problems. Based in the Bay Area, CA. Currently we have openings at the Scientist and Research Associate level for those with experience in molecular biology, plant transformation, and/or bioinformatics.
We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to join Nucleate UK’s communications team. Nucleate’s mission is to make biotech entrepreneurship accessible to all, from first year undergrads to senior professors. You would be involved in helping to expand our reach, create educational content for our community, and advertise our current programmes. There is also the opportunity to learn and get involved in our other areas such as strategy, partnerships as well as running our programmes. Ideally, you should: (1) Be a current student at a UK university based in Oxford, London or Cambridge (more areas coming soon) – essential. (2) Have an interest in both entrepreneurship and communications (3) Be able to communicate professionally and clearly to a variety of stakeholders. Experience in previous work or societies is desired but not a necessity.
We’re currently working with some of the US’ and Europe’s most exciting Bio-Tech start-ups and we’re looking to expand our team. Are you a Bioinformatician or Data Scientist looking for exciting part-time/freelance work with awesome businesses shaping the future of the industry? We are putting together a network of the best bioinformaticians to help tackle some of the most pressing problems in healthcare. If you’re looking for part-time work, that can be done from anywhere in a freelancer capacity, we want to hear from you. Do fill out the application so we can learn more about you and tell you about our upcoming projects.
The Compute team is key to a big part of what we do at Manifold, turning protein engineering problems into DNA read/write strategies. We’re looking for a mix of generalists (bioinformatics, hybrids, synthetic biologists) and/or specialists (e.g. protein design). It’s a super collaborative role working closely with our experimental teams. Very heavy on NGS data literally streaming out of high-throughput assays on an almost daily basis. We’re also keen on automating some of our pipelines further and making the data more readily accessible to experimentalists.
